The agri-food sector is underpinned by its agricultural and wine-growing strengths

To the north-west, the vast plains are home to mechanised farming that feeds powerful agri-food industries processing cereals, sugar beet, alfalfa, potatoes, rapeseed and protein peas… Further south, the wet, green pastures feed cattle that help produce PDO cheeses: Chaource, Langres, Epoisses and the famous Caprice des Dieux.

The Sud Champagne region also has a wealth of meat-processing expertise, including the famous andouillette, which is exported to our neighbours, but which you can also enjoy in a good restaurant!

But it is above all the vineyards that give the region its reputation and identity. Winegrowers have managed to organise themselves to conquer the world and produce more than a quarter of the 300 million bottles of champagne sold each year!

Do you have a foodtech or food processing unit creation project?

Choose the Sud Champagne region and set up your business close to your resources!
