Ramondin Coiffes, a leading Aube company in Champagne headwear
Seticap is a company within the Ramondin Group, the world leader in wine and spirits bottle closures, located in Sainte-Savine in the Aube region. It manufactures custom caps for Champagne houses.
A Growing Company
The Spanish Group, with a workforce of 800 people and 7 production centers in the five most recognized wine markets, acquired Seticap in 2017 to ensure proximity to its clients in the wine industry and centralize the production of all its Champagne and sparkling wine caps at a single site. This was a new and decisive step in its strategic project, with the French market becoming a key focus for the group. To achieve this, they implemented a plan to optimize their processes and recruit new staff to double the company’s capacities.
“The Sud Champagne region is ideally located at the center of the Champagne, Alsace, and Burgundy wine regions. It’s a relevant location to access the winemaking market,” says Francisco Campos, the site’s industrial director.
The company in Aube has expanded thanks to the Group’s industrial expertise, the transfer of machinery from other sites to the Troyes location, and the recruitment and training of new employees. “We offer customized solutions for long series, allowing us to have more standardized production flows while adhering to the client’s identity,” explains Francisco Campos. He adds, “The cap reflects the client through color, writing, and patterns. Champagne represents the world of luxury, and it’s essential for our clients to stand out.” Ramondin Coiffes is continuously innovating and has recently developed an environmentally friendly offering under the brand “Ecap,” manufacturing and selling 100% recyclable and plastic-free caps.
“We are the only ones doing this in the market. It is crucial for us to develop eco-friendly solutions to meet the strong demand from our clients,” adds Francisco Campos.
Ramondin Coiffes in numbers: 40 employees and an exclusive focus by the group on sparkling wines market with a forecasted growth of €10 million in the next three years.
Ramondin is Hiring!
The market outlook for Champagne in the next three years is very positive. Ramondin Coiffes aims to double production compared to 2022. The Business France office in Madrid, in contact with RMD Group, informed the Grand Est Region and Business Sud Champagne about Ramondin Coiffes’ development project.
“After our meeting with the industrial director in France, we created an HR/Communication project group dedicated to the company’s needs,” says Philippe Charmont, responsible for business and territory development at BSC agency.
A genuine local dynamic has formed around the company, thanks to the involvement of key employment and training actors (Pôle Emploi, the Regional Directorate for the Economy, Employment, Labor, and Solidarity, the Region, Troyes Champagne Métropole, and the IoT Academy), coordinated by BSC. Ramondin Coiffes participated in the Industry Week by offering an open house day to inspire future vocations. They also collaborate with the Union of Metallurgy Industries and Trades (UIMM) to train apprentices. Andrea Canes, HR manager, joined the project group and contributed to work on the employer brand, recruitment activities, and the development of specific training.
“We offer real career prospects; we help our employees grow gradually through training,” explains the industrial director, adding, “we are somewhere between industry and craftsmanship. We are looking for curious and passionate employees to whom we can pass on our expertise.”
Ramondin Coiffes is hiring for operational positions and highlights the possibility of growth within the company. The company belongs to a rapidly growing Group that has withstood all crises and works for an exceptional market, Champagne. Regarding its 2023 activities, Ramondin Coiffes will be present at the VITeff exhibition – the international exhibition of sparkling wine technologies from October 10 to 13, 2023.
