Share your vision of the region: the call is on for a new shared narrative for South Champagne!

Because the economic rebound will also depend on our ability to capture business projects and talents, the economic development agency “Business Sud Champagne”, its partners, and funders want to implement a comprehensive attractiveness strategy so that our Territory is recognized and identified as a Land of opportunities and welcome by external actors whether they are existing companies, creators, or residents in need of space.

 

To launch this approach, all the territory’s stakeholders are invited to share their vision by responding to the online questionnaire until 19 October 2020. The responses will help fuel the reflection of future collaborative work workshops.

An original and collaborative territorial marketing approach

 

Original because it is adapted to an exceptional context of disruption

Changes in behavior, quality of life demands, new work modes, searches for local solutions and products, … The territory wants to project itself and wishes to question its ability to meet these new aspirations, to adapt, and the means to make it known:

  • What are our distinguishing assets in a post-Covid-19 context?
  • How do we position ourselves in this transformation of our societies compared to the Ile de France and our neighboring territories?
  • What message for which target?
  • How to implement this strategy on communication supports and actions?
  • How to inscribe this strategy over time?
  • How to associate the territory’s actors with this strategy?

 

Collaborative because attractiveness is everyone’s business

In a post-Covid context of exacerbated competition between territories, this approach aims to unite around a common attractiveness strategy all the actors concerned with the economic future of South Champagne.

This involves a common adherence, a strategy in line with the vision of local actors, and a capacity to be a source of pride while translating shared values. The attractiveness of a territory thus aims to connect individuals, sectors, territorial poles, rural areas, and denser ones.

It is for all these reasons that Business Sud Champagne and its partners (the Grand Est Region, Troyes Champagne Metropole, the Agglomeration of Chaumont, Nogentech, the Technopole de l’Aube, the CCI of Troyes and Aube, and the CCI Meuse Haute-Marne) have involved economic actors in the implementation of this approach: project leaders, entrepreneurs, company creators, and institutional actors, etc.

 

The three stages of the approach

The work is thus sequenced into 3 major phases:

  • The exploration phase, which consists of collecting as much information as possible about the territory and the new expectations of those questioned. This phase involves individual interviews with various personalities from the territory to get their perception of it. These interviews are complemented by meetings, surveys, a collaborative work workshop, and studies to understand the evolution of South Champagne.
  • The second phase is dedicated to strategic orientation. Once all the necessary data is collected, collaborative workshops will be set up to define a tailored service offer with structuring actions and major key messages.
  • The last phase consists of implementing the strategy. To do this, new collaborative workshops will bring out a precise action plan and a comprehensive communication strategy.

 

Support led by recognised external consultancies

With solid experience in territorial attractiveness, Bastille and Créaspace consultancies have been selected to orchestrate the approach. They have previously worked notably on Lille (Hello Lille), Strasbourg (Europtimist), and Moselle (MOSL). The complete mission is spread over 4 months and should end in January 2021.
