Sud Champagne’s transport and logistics offering showcased at SITL
The challenges of the logistics of the future
Every year, SITL brings together in Paris all the innovative products and services dedicated to freight transport, the logistics industry and the supply chain. The 2022 edition welcomed 30,000 participants and 500 exhibitors. A number of key themes were addressed at this key event for players and trends in the transport and logistics sector, including hydrogen solutions to address energy issues in the transport sector, and Industry 4.0, with solution providers presenting data collection technologies to ensure product traceability.
Economic development players mobilised
The economic development agency for Aube and the south of Haute-Marne has highlighted the facilities and ecosystem of the Sud Champagne region as an ideal location for companies to set up and invest. The region boasts a number of assets, including 4 motorway parks, one of which is specifically dedicated to logistics, multi-modal transport links (road, rail, air and river networks), and a catchment area of 115 million consumers less than a day’s journey by lorry.
Business Sud Champagne joined forces with 3 other economic development and attraction agencies in the Grand Est region (Lorr’ Up, Inspire Metz and Moselle Attractivité) on a joint stand covering more than 60 m2. Together, they presented the strengths of this cross-border region and the power of the Grand Est logistics sector.
The aim of the Sud Champagne agency was to meet new project sponsors and business introducers, as well as to maintain its network. Over the 4 days, the team was able to communicate with nearly 50 contacts about the region’s economic development projects, and returned with several expressions of interest.
The event was also an opportunity to strengthen links with the local companies present at the show, and to promote their activities, as some of them were showcased on the stand.
