The Greater East Region sets up “Performance Emploi” to support training for young people
In a context of deterioration in the labour market, the Region intends to ensure the transition, enabling young people to acquire complementary skills close to the needs of companies and thus preparing young people for future recruitment when employment picks up again. More specifically, the “Parcours d’Acquisition de Compétences en Entreprise” (PACE) enables young people, both graduates and non-graduates, to acquire skills and initial professional experience with mentoring within candidate companies for a period of 6 months.
The Region has earmarked a minimum budget of €16m for 2,000 young people. The aim is to leave the host company with no financial burden. This funding includes tutoring aid for host companies (€350 per month for young people with no qualifications and €230 per month for young graduates), a monthly grant of €500 for the young person and funding for support paid to the service provider to put the young person in touch with a company, set out his or her training path and provide follow-up in the company.
Proposed as part of the Regional Plan for Young People last July, this scheme will be rolled out throughout 2021, with the service provider selected by the Region providing visibility for young people and companies. This consortium includes the 4 GRETAs in Lorraine, AFPA, CNAM, AEFTI51, ALAJI and Rondes des découvertes 08. It covers all 10 departements and 40 towns in the Grand Est region, and offers 70 host sites.
You will find attached, a document presenting the scheme. Interested companies can apply by filling in the online form at www.pace-grandest.fr. They will then be contacted by one of the group’s organisations to discuss their project further.
